Policies

Jump strives to make your experience with us friendly, honest and hassle-free. To keep everything fair, here is the fine print!

  • Ratios: Class sizes have strict ratios. Jump reserves the right to increase ratios when it is deemed safe to do so.

  • Fees/Tuition: Tuition is paid by credit card via our online booking system. E-transfer is accepted under the condition that an active credit card is listed on your account.

    Monthly Fees
    Tuition (Monthly Fee) is due and will be processed on the 25th of the preceding month. For example, payments for the month of September will be processed on August 25. For registrations after the 25th of the month, tuition will be due upon enrollment.

    Camps and Punch Passes
    Seasonal camps, school closure camps, and Baby Jump Punch Passes are billed at the time of enrollment unless otherwise specified (there are no monthly fees/tuition costs for these programs).

    If camp begins within two weeks, payment is due immediately. If payment is not received within three days (72 hours) or 24 hours prior to camp start date (whichever comes first.) your child will be withdrawn from camp.

    Camp cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation fee up to 14 days prior to the first day of camp and that cancellations within 14 days of the camp start date do not receive a refund. Submit a withdrawal request in writing to hello@jumpgymnastics.ca.

    Events and Workshops
    Registration fees for events and workshops are non-refundable.

  • Withdrawals from classes: If you would like to discontinue your Jump classes, be sure to submit a Withdrawal Request Form by the 20th of the current month. We will withdraw you from your class at the end of the current month and you will not be charged for the following month on our billing date. Submission of the Withdrawal Request Form does not confirm the withdrawal. Heads up! We do not provide refunds or credits for tuition fees charged on our monthly billing date or at the time of registration.

    Withdrawals from Camps:
    Camp cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation fee up to 14 days prior to the first day of camp and that cancellations within 14 days of the camp start date do not receive a refund. Submit a withdrawal request in writing to hello@jumpgymnastics.ca.

  • Transfers: If your child is currently enrolled in Jump classes and you would like to transfer to a different class time or your child is aging up to the next level, submit a Transfer Request Form by the 20th of the current month. We’ll do our best to enroll your child in your preferred class time but we cannot guarantee a space will be available. Submission of the Transfer Request Form does not confirm the transfer. Should a transfer be completed, your child will start their new class time during the first week of the following month.

  • Membership Fees: Jump does not charge membership fees. All fees are included in your monthly tuition.

  • Absences: We do not offer refunds or credits for missed classes. We offer makeup classes for missed classes when space is available.

    -Makeups can only be booked in classes where there is space, not in full classes;

    -We do not guarantee availability. Please be considerate of others, and try not to book multiple makeups in the same high-demand class;

    -Makeups must be booked within 30 days of the missed class;

    -Makeups can only be taken by currently registered students. (You can’t book a make up for after your withdrawal date.);

    -Makeups must be booked at least 12 hours in advance.

    Camps do not qualify for makeups. Should your child not be able to attend for any reason, you will not receive a credit or another day of camp in lieu.

  • What if my child is not able to meet the behavioural requirements?

    Many of the behaviour guidance strategies in our classes are invisible. As a parent you can expect to see the following programming strategies that support positive, age-appropriate behaviour in all of our classes:

    • increased active movement and decreased sitting or stationary work

    • a steady and even pace to activities

    • the use of age appropriate transitions (familiar songs, physical movements and phrases)

    • the use of repetition and routines

    • instructions that are age appropriate to avoid frustration

    We have based our program expectations on Canadian Pediatric Guidelines and after years of experience working with thousands of preschool aged athletes we feel they are reasonable and achievable for most children. We will always provide reasonable guidance and instruction to help our athletes learn the behavioural skills needed to thrive in our classes. However, we do recognize that some children may not be able to meet the expectations and therefore may not be able to safely participate in our programs. In many cases, our team can work with you to support your child by:

    • finding a more suitable class time that may better support your child

    • moving your child to a more suitable level or program

    • supporting you to find community resources that will further support your child (such as Kids Physio Group)

    If we deem none of these options are appropriate, Jump Gymnastics reserves the right to request removal from the program until your child is ready to participate safely.

    As a parent, what should I do?

    • arrange a time to talk to the coach before or after class

    • openly discuss your child and their behaviour - our coaches are here to help not judge

    • work with the coach to develop their Individual Lesson Card personal goals in order to help your child learn the expectations for the class

    • love your child - sometimes this environment is just not a fit for them and that’s ok

    • remember that timing is everything and all children grow at different rates - your child just might not be ready right now.

  • Illness: Please do not come to class if you are feeling unwell. You should not participate or come to the facility if:

    You don’t feel well and your symptoms are contagious; or

    Feeling unwell will significantly impact your participation and experience.

    Use our “Should I come to class today?” chart to support you in making choices about coming to class.

  • -Reservation/registration for class spots must be done online in advance. Classes are open for reservations the Sunday before the class.

    -Families are required to purchase a punch pass online before attending. Families who reserve a class without purchasing a punch pass online will be automatically charged for a punch pass.

    -No shows will be billed on their punch pass for the class. If you need to cancel your reservation, contact our client coordinators a minimum of one hour before your class is scheduled to start.

    -Punch passes are non-transferable

    -Baby Jump Punch Pass is for babies who are not yet walking.

  • Class Cancellations/Changes: Jump reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes based on enrollment. We also reserve the right to move classes online in the event of a pandemic outbreak.

    Holiday Closures: We are closed on some stat holidays but not all. Check our Annual Calendar for more information.

    Scheduled Closures: Tuition/monthly fees are prorated according to scheduled closures. A class that is scheduled less than four sessions within a month as a result of scheduled closures, will have a prorated monthly fee. Scheduled closures do not qualify for makeups.

    Unexpected Closures: (Ex. Snow Day) Classes that receive fewer than four sessions in a month will have a credit added to their account to be applied to next month’s payment or families will be offered the opportunity to book a makeup class. Families that have had a camp cancelled due to an unexpected closure will receive a credit on their account.

  • At Jump Gymnastics, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all families to thrive. Review our Code of Conduct and Ethics.
